The path

Five stages, six creatures

Each stage is a few skills, and each skill ends in an exam you pass at 80%. Pass a skill’s exam and it’s done, lessons or not, so you only learn what you don’t know yet. Stage 1 is open now, and the next stages are on their way.

Fish Where everyone starts

Every player starts as a fish, new to the water. At the table the regulars call a newcomer a fish, and every shark was one once.

    The basics

Become a Pufferfish: know the rules of the reef.

Small, but it knows the rules of the reef. A pufferfish only puffs up when it means it, so when it does, the others take notice.

    Make good calls

Become a Shark: never pay too much.

A shark smells a bad price from across the reef. It never pays too much for a meal, and it never lets one go cheap.

    The final table

Become a Narwhal: the unicorn of the sea.

The unicorn of the sea. Its tusk is a tooth that grows longer than a person is tall, and it was once sold as unicorn horn. Few ever see one.
